Re: A laugh out loud Ken Rockwell moment, and a serious question

I read those same magazines, read the same admonition, agreed then and agree now.  The difference with digital, which was my point in my initial post, is that I can use memory space, derive the same benefit, and do so without cost.     And my photography, at least in my view, has benefitted.

Re: "...burn some film."    I did burn some film back in the day.    And it was costing me money.   At the same time I was burning ammunition, which was also costing me money. Both endeavors also consumed time.    Both endeavors competed for funds and time, and each limited the other.

Now burning ammunition is for recreation only, so no more substantial financial output to try to maintain the peak of competitive edge.

As I  said in my response to Robert Cohen, this is a great time to be a photographer.
