While trying a friend’s RP, I noticed that after pressing the shutter button, the image pauses in evf less than briefly. It’s annoying with moving subjects. Don’t know if this effect is reduced in continuous. Was in single shot. The question is for those who had or still have the RP and the R6, is that effect similar in the R6? In either single shot or continuous.

The blackout of the EVF in continuous shooting on the R and RP is quite long, which makes them not suitable for fast actions. This problem is resolved on the R5 and R6.

Thanks. So less of an image pause on none at all with the R6 and R5?

There is still a lag between shots in continuous shooting on R5 and R6. You can imagine the time of the lag being similar to the blackout time of the 5D series. It poses no problem at all in real-world use even when I try to keep fast-moving subjects in the frame.

The lag on the R was my main concern. That was the major reason that deterred me from getting the R. After trying the R6 in a showroom in August I pre-ordered one immediately.

You have to use the following mode. Otherwise the blackout time is the same as R/RP.

High-speed continuous shooting +
