Yes, they are very different as to the colour of the boat.

Colour rendition is another area that can get complicated. As far as the JPEG colours go you can alter that with the FZ300. I think it is fairly common to nudge the colours a bit towards Amber and a bit towards Magenta. Here you can see the white balance on my FZ330 moved two notches towards Amber and one notch towards Magenta.

What I do for flowers is to set the camera white balance using a grey card (actually the neutral grey panel of a ColorChecker Passport, but it works just as well with a neutral grey card).

Set the white balance to one of the four user definable white balance settings.

Choose "Select White Set". Point the rectangle at the grey card and press the shutter button. That sets the white balance.

So...the longer range shots are here in reply to Albert. I will also try your indoor exercise as soon as I can.

I'll be interested to hear how it goes.
