Broke a CFL, Should I Be Worried?

Broke a small, unlit, cool CFL today in my carpeted studio. Did the best I could to hand broom up pieces into a plastic bag, but there were too many tiny shards to not use a vacuum. The floor is carpeted, I had no choice. So I put the pieces and the vacuum bag in a plastic bag outside until I can properly dispose of it.

What's bugging me is there are no windows in that room and no way to ventilate it.

Maybe I sealed my fate of an early death by spreading vapors with the vacuum?

Am I overreacting? Does that carpet need to be pitched, my clothing? Was reading I could vacuum it again a few more times pitching the bag each time.

Or it this one of those things where it's like if I reached out and scooped up liquid mercury in my hand, heated up and drank it I could get sick?

Thanks. Wished I had not dropped it. Makes me want to go all LED.
