I'll repeat my opinion that the 16-80 is the most satisfactory solution to your needs. Although if you are particular about AF noises you may not like it either. I bought a refurb for $679.

I think it's worth $679. The. MSRP of $1067 is overpriced.

The Sigma 17-50 would be my next choice, although I experienced some AF glitchiness on a D5600. My history was this: I had both Sigmas and kept the 17-50. Then I got the 16-80, and eventually sold the 17-50.

Hi,

It seems it is really hard to find some fast standard zoom lens for my Z50. I'd like to use such in lower light conditions indoors to shoot some family events. An alternative could also be 24mm prime but I'd prefer a bit slower zoom but equipped with VR.

I have been evaluating Sigma C 17-70 but was not happy with loud, slow, and often erratic AF.

I wonder if Sigma 17-50 or maybe Sony would perform better? Do you have any experience with those glasses adapted to Z50?

Thank you very much
