Thoughts so far, first time Fuji owner (X-T30) -
3

I have almost went with Fuji several times in the past, my first pull was the XE2 many years back but it's lack of E shutter shut it down. I later heard they added it in FW but then they came out with the XE2s so it didn't really matter, but by that time i had moved on.

Most recently, about 8mo ago i had really looked hard at the XT30 and XT3, comparing them to the M6ii and an Olympus. Mostly due to already having 4 MFT lenses, i chose the Olympus. Without getting into personal preferences and changing needs, last week i decided it was time.

I sold my M50 i wasn't using much and picked up a used XT30 for $600, came with a grip and red button. So far i've only been able to use an old 100mm f/3.5 Nikon lens, tomorrow i will get a dumb adapter for my EF lenses. In the meantime im deciding whether i want to start off with the Viltrox 56 or get a Fringer adapter for my EF glass.

Regardless, i've been able to play around a bit and found some initial things to discuss. First off i love how when zooming in to review an image, you simply press the dial to jump back to full screen. Another thing i just found, when manually focusing in video, if you press the same dial (default) for focus magnify, you can do so while recording.

So far i really like Eterna, Provia and Astia. I also prefer the look of them all with the DRP setting on weak (lowest of 3), gives a slightly flatter look but still nice color. Im sure this is all pretty basic to long time Fuji users but it's completely new to me, and using those dials is gonna be fun but it's like learning to drive on the left side of the road !
