So much really good information on this old post indeed. Thanks for bringing it back up.

I wondered what people think if the new Olympus 100-400mm lens for the noon and planets? You can even use the mc2.0 or the 1.4 teleconverter and get closer to the focal lengths mentioned to be needed for noon shots.

Curious about it. I love the outcome of astrophotography but I tend to need my sleep... And winter is cold and where I live there is a lot of light pollution. ...
