The information you were given by the first reply was incorrect racznack. The number shown on the LCD screen is NOT the shutter count of the camera. It is the number of the photographs stored in the folder associated with the memory card. Change the memory card for one out of another Canon DSLR and you will notice a different folder number for any images taken on the other camera. That number can be reset from the menu. The shutter count can not be reset, except by Canon and they would only do it if the shutter was replaced. This software program works on the majority of Canon DSLR's for finding the shutter count....
