You don't need to connect your camera to computer in order to check shutter count It's available in your camera.

Step 1: Turn your camera ON.

Step 2: Press Picture Preview button to view the captured images on camera's LCD.

Step 3: Now look at the LCD. When an image is shown on LCD, the shutter count can be seen on TOP RIGHT CORNER (see attached image)

Don't worry about 100. It's always there. That 6155 is the actual SHUTTER COUNT till now.

Sorry, but that is NOT the shutter count of the camera. It is the number of the photographs stored in the folder associated with the memory card. Change the memory card for one out of another Canon DSLR and you will notice a different folder number for any images taken on the other camera. That number can be reset from the menu. The shutter count can not be reset, except by Canon and they would only do it if the shutter was replaced. This software program works on the majority of Canon DSLR's for finding the shutter count Farooq Abbas Saim....
