Yes, the image stabilizer of lens runs all the time while m6ii is awake. So I choose to close the screen in 15 seconds.

Yes, but run your hand in front of the EVF and it comes back on. I end up turning my M off when not in active use. The OVF is just there waiting, no hassle, no lag time. Personal preference.

I really think the focus system of M6II is better than the optical one in 90D. It is as fast as 90D, more accurate, and with eye recognition. The focus system of 90d is very easy to be disturbed by tiny thing in front of your target.

I don't think the battery life is a big problem, I always use tow batteries in one day.

I usually use m6ii in the parks of Hangzhou, because it hasn't weather sealing. If I go to the wild fields or travel to another city, I will take my Olympus em1 markII and 300mm pro. The Olympus system is lighter, comfortable, with excellent IS and weather sealing system. But Olympus has not big lens.

All personal preference. I've had no issues with my 80D's AF and the 90D has a better processor driving it. The 90D has live view with a very similar AF system to the M6II's. I don't use live view often and prefer the M and EVF for those applications actually. I prefer APS-C to M4/3 and FF is better still. The Canon 100-400 has been my favorite lens for over two decades. No bad choices.

The canon 100-400 mark I is a good lens, but its resolution can't catch up with the new lens. If you use canon prime L lens like 300mm f2.8, 500mm f4, you will find the big difference in focus accuracy between m6 mii and 90d.

That certainly wasn’t the case for me when I used those two very lenses on my 90d and m6 mk2.  I found focus accuracy to be so similar I couldn’t tell a difference.  Both perform very well.
