My "hunch" back when it was introduced was that the GM-5 was Leica's aborted  entry into the m4/3 world. That is why it had the Leica look and the purpose built lens with a working aperture dial. At some point, Leica got cold feet and Panny brought it out as its own. I wish it was still made. If it had IBIS I would trade in my E-p5.

16mp sensor still OK in my opinion.
