Hello Markyboy, I'm curious if you are still going to stick with Samsung since you have most of the gear or switch system since pricings are falling for older Sony full frame models.
I got into this system because of the affordability but GAS soon dictates I should open up my wallet more and aim for better (full frame, dedicated microphone port etc).
I have invested about £670 until now for a like new nx500 with kit pz lens + 30mm + 85mm. I am now targeting an nx1 with one or both of the S lenses and when I see the total of costs I shy away.
And then what's left is thinking what my money could buy into a Sony full frame system (grey or used market) Since I scored great prices for nx500 and the 30 and 85mm I can only be sure if get more chances on snapping up bargain Sony lenses.
Currently struggling to find a 45mm for less than £150, I think £200 is inflated considering the Lens is Used.
Where are the NX users heading to in terms of gear for 2021?
I'm not shifting away any time soon, I have too much money 'invested' in the system. I say invested in the loosest sense of the word since I don't mean that I expect to make a return financially on this 'investment'. Having said that, most of my kit was second hand and there still seems to be good market for used kit, although it does seem to be shrinking.
I would agree that £200 is a bit steep for the 45mm. Have a look over at CEX - they probably don't have any in stock now but you can sign up to be notified when they do. Some of the prices for NX bodies and lenses are low - so low in fact that I can't imagine anyone in their right mind would sell to them..
I would echo the suggestion of getting hold of the 16-50s and using it with your NX500. Have you modded the NX500? I only did this recently but I'm glad that I did!
CEX are selling the 45mm for £150 and have one in stock.
