Nice images and I agree that the M6II is a high performance little camera. However, I don't think it is superior to the 90D. They have different applications IMHO.

Yes, the image stabilizer of lens runs all the time while m6ii is awake. So I choose to close the screen in 15 seconds.

Yeah, my M6ii with 100-400ii shuts down after 8 seconds. I wake by half-pressing the shutter as I’m bringing the camera up.

I really think the focus system of M6II is better than the optical one in 90D. It is as fast as 90D, more accurate, and with eye recognition.

+1 The M6ii’s autofocus is better than any DSLR I’ve ever shot with, including the outstanding 7D2 (and by a pretty wide margin).

The focus system of 90d is very easy to be disturbed by tiny thing in front of your target.

The 7D2 has settings that really help with this, but the M6ii’s keeper rate just knocks your socks off.

I don't think the battery life is a big problem, I always use tow batteries in one day.

I routinely get 1000+ shots per (OEM) batt.

R2:

If m6 mark ii add weather sealing, IBIS, EVF, 14fps electronic shutter, and big grip, It will be called R7.

Canon can produce R7 or something else at any time. But Canon is waiting for a good time.
