Anyone get their hands on the xs10 that can confirm or deny if you can save recipes ?

Yes, you can save recipes on C1-4.

Thanks that’s disappointing. That’s a major difference between existing models that none of the reviews mention. I have xt2 and was going to UPGRADE for the new simulation stuff.

I'm confused - why is an improvement disappointing?

Because going from 7 to 4 without the ability to name them like the EXISTING line has. I use recipes. I like recipes. I wanted the lower entry bar because I gave the f2 35mm. But gonna just get the 100v.

"...going from 7 to 4..." - yes.

"... without the ability to name them..." - no.

And there’s not a single review that mentioned them. Hence disappointing. It’s a software thing and not anything hardware related.

I'm not a jpeg shooter, this camera was a total non-starter for me because it can't be set up at all like my three existing Fuji cameras - no MCS switch on the front, no d-pad, no exposure compensation on the front dial, no marked dials, everything in wrong place etc. I just assumed it must, at least, be optimized for the jpeg/recipe crowd, but that doesn't seem the case either. Other than IBIS, does this camera look like a step forward to any current Fuji users? Video people, maybe? The more I look at how this thing is configured, the more it looks like a dumpster fire of a camera to me.

As I'm not jpeg shooter too, I'm glad I can now store much more camera settings than jpeg related ones into custom slots. And, I can have totaly different camera behaviour by rotating only one dial, which is fast and bulletproof. If someone prefers to have a dedicated mechanical element for each camera function, so be it. I rather program my whole camera settings into memory banks. So, it's step forward to me.

Great then, I’m glad it works for someone, it wouldn’t work for me at all. I get that they wanted to make something for the PASM people, but did it have to be so unFujilike? You can’t even assign EC to the front dial like all the other models. Dumb, IMO.
