Although this is an almost 5 year old thread I still find it interesting to follow.

I found your image of the Andromeda Galaxy quite nice. What particular aspect do you find utterly frustrating? What technical aspect is it in which a Canon Rebel (that didn't happen to be astro modified, did it?) performs so much better than your m43 cam? Noise, dynamic range, etc.?

_Theoretically_ (yeah yeah, I know) four m43 stacked images should perform somehow similar to one FF image, with sensors of the same generation. And as I understand the Canon Rebel is an APS-C type sensor cam, so noise wise its just one stop apart.
