Spring of 2021! That makes the most sense and would fit their timeline of when they make releases. Now, what do I think they will produce first?

50mm 1.4 RF art

100mm 1.4 RF art

35mm 1.4 RF art

24mm 1.4 RF art

85mm 1.4 RF Art (half the size and weight of current version)

24-70 2.8 RF art

24-105 F4 RF art

70-200 2.8 RF Sport

100-400 F 5.6-7.8 RF sport

24mm F2 RF contemporary

35mm F2 RF contemporary

45mm F2 RF contemporary

65mm F2 RF contemporary

Note, I would like to say that all of the contemporary lines will have the control ring specifically for the aperture in the system. For the Art and Sports like, there will be an additional switch to control the focus ring or you can switch it to a customizable ring to control aperture, shutter speeds, or various other functionalities to ensure it works for the consumer! But it will have to be set in auto focus to ensure that you’re able to use it on the control ring setting, otherwise you’ll be forced to use the ring for manual focus.

But those are just my thoughts and it makes sense from what they currently have! Also non of the new lenses will have a window to view the focus on top. All of the lenses will be made of a combination of plastic, metal, and glass (of course) with a tremendous amount of weather sealing around the connection points to ensure your devices are well protected. Only the sports lines (and the 24-70 F2.8, as well as the 24-105 F4) will have imagined stabilization which may have some initial issues with the R5 and R6 bodies at first but will be fixed with an update called 1.1.2 addressing the initial issues with chromatic aberration and such!

But all of this is just a guess... I’m just shooting in the dark! Let’s see how this turns out! This is so exciting 😂

There are so many possibilities.  A big question is the begin with head-to-head against Canon with their f/1.4A primes, or if they compete sideways with their f/2C primes.  Maybe a couple of each (e.g. 24 / 2, 65 / 2, 50 / 1.4, 85 / 1.4) to start with.  I don't think they'll lead with zooms, though.
