I’d like to see the same scene shot with the same settings using the same camera on a tripod at 24 mm using the 24-70 f2.8, 24-105 f4, and this lens. Throw in an equivalent Sony or Nikon mirrorless body at 24 mm. See how many people could even match images to lenses or bodies. Or even just pick this one out of the crowd at better than coin flip accuracy.

No pixel peeping allowed. Normal print size (let’s say no bigger than 13x19). Normal viewing distance required.

I say 13x19 as that’s about the RP limit to print at 300 PPI.

Sounds like a test engineered to prove a bias. Anyone concerned with corner sharpness wants high IQ at 1:1 viewing or is printing 20-40" on the long side. The on-screen equivalent to your test would be viewing all the images at 25% zoom then saying they're all the same – that doesn't prove a point, it only proves a point for the conditions that are relevant to you.

It’s a test to prove that for most people for most common uses on a lens like this, the IQ is AMAZING!

People that have the concerns you mentioned are buying ‘L’ glass and spending $4,000 on an R5. Those same people aren’t doing anyone any favors to anyone dumping all over a lens like this and picking at the corners 1:1 on a 5k monitor.

I don’t think any pros are being tricked into giving up $5,000 in glass because this will cover all their needs for 1/10th the price.
