Have you considered a monopod? Or even a camera adaptor on a walking pole?

I love shooting with a monopod. I do it a lot w GFX.

Greg: which monopod do you use?

Do you go with a standard monopod or one that has those little feet on the bottom for extra stability?

I use a Really Right Stuff MC-25 Series 2 Carbon Monopod with the quick release MH-02 LR Tilt Head. But that is very expensive.

Prior to that I used a 200 dollar carbon 4-section Manfroto MPMXproC4US monopod with a Sirui L10 tilt head (asca).

I didn't use the Manfrotto head because I wanted arca and don't like the Manfrotto quick release system.

Also, the Manfrotto had those levers that pinched my fingers and hands at times (one time very badly and took a hunk of meat out of thumb web.

I really like to shoot with a monopod.  They are easy to carry everywhere.
