It hardly matters what camera and lens one takes cycling as long as one uses his/her common sense and dampens the jarring motion of the ride.  Too many variables to list (fat cruising tires? bike suspension? road surface?), but the bottom line is that you can ride over a rocky road as long as the camera is isolated from the jarring action... which isn't at all hard to accomplish.
