Pana lens H-PS45175 apparently bricked after EM1 Mk3 V1.2 firmware update

Hello forum,
I am back after many years of absence, simply enjoying M4/3 photography, and unfortunately, it's because I've got a problem

Last night as the new firmware for the EM1 MkIII was made available I did the operation and successfully updated the body's firmware.

During the process, Olympus Update Manager displayed a second line for the lens mounted on the body the Pana 45-175mm. I unsuspiciously accepted it, and everything went smoothly.
Only today did I try to take a picture and realised the lens was bricked:

- Dark frame in viewfinder or in Live view mode
- The lens won't react to its own W/T button or ring rotation.
- The diaphragm seems open when looked through.

The last successful picture was made, a couple of hours before the operation. And of course, no accident happened in-between, the lens has been handled with normal care.

Any suggestion on what to do next ? Is it worth taking it back to Panasonic service center ? Is there a place where to ask if this is just a unlucky event or if it happened to other users ?

Thank you for your attention,

Olympus E-M1
