2nd (kind of) lens?
2nd (kind of) lens?

Hi, I’ve been looking for a discussion comparing two particular lenses and haven’t found much. I’m going to be shooting party pics and candid portraits at a friends wedding while the paid photographer is doing the formal wedding pics. I’m fairly new to Fuji and have been using the 18-55 and the Samyang 12mm. I have a really hard time with the manual focus lens, even with focus peaking. I’m going to get another lens this weekend. I was thinking about a few, all $500 or less. I ruled out the Viltrox 56mm because I have that covered with the 18-55. I was next considering the viltrox 85 and a used Fuji 55-200. I’m leaning towards the 55-200 because of the versatility, OIS, and it being a native lens. Additionally, I have a flash and radio trigger that I enjoy using. I’d love to hear your opinions on what would be your next lens after the 18-55 if you’ll be shooting family events and pets, mostly.
