If you intend to use a counter-balance, make certain that it's something that you can mount very solidly, as if it has any looseness, it could cause unwanted vibrations. That's why I suggested something like the SmallRig counter-weight:

As a side note, how is carrying that rig? Even my rig is not anywhere near that weight and I felt the fatigue rather quickly.

I don't have to think about any sort of gym membership, I now have my very own 'gymbal'. The more I use it, the easier it gets, about half and hour or so now and I still feel OK.
