Just got my r5, LOVE IT. Bought it for general purpose, may end up being my wildlife camera as well.

I got the camera more for non-wildlife photos, but after some test shots in my yard I'm not so sure if this isn't also a potential replacement for my 7Dii. Cropping down the larger R5 photos means that the subject is almost the same size in the final photo as it would be in the 7Dii (if you get what I'm saying. Obviously the full-frame IQ difference is there as well. Plus the ISO noise improvement is amazing; I have shots at 12800 that are more than usable. The animal-eye focus works great too, and lets you easily compose how you want, while keeping the eye as the focus point. I'll definitely be taking this out for a test in the field in the next few days, I want to see how good the reach is on smaller more distant subjects.

Here's a high ISO shot, I love how smooth and even the noise is even at 12800
