In the Canon RF forum people are discussing the use of the Canon 100-500 with TCs on the R5 and it seems to work quite good.

I have a z6 and when the 100-400 S lens will be released I would get one with a T,"c ( most probably the 1.4). Looking at the size of the lens compared to other lenses on the roadmap, most probably the 100-400 will be f5.6 or f6.3 on the long end . Mostly I will use that combo for not movin subjects or big animals .

What is your opinion? Will such a f5.6/f6.3 lens work acceptable on a Z6 with a TC or is there a big difference in AF capabilities between Z6 and R5? ( or Z6 II)

I am definitely interested in the 100-400 S, especially if it's a 5.6 on the long end. Its silhouette is more in line with the size of a lens I'd want; the 200-600 appears to be too large for my liking.  I reserve the right the change my mind post release.

Hence, I could be interested in the Z TC 2.0x so hopefully it'll work just fine. At the moment I have very little interest in the Z TC-1.4x, I'll just use the Z50.
