Parts inside your printer ...

The printer in question is the Epson Stylus Photo 2200.

Some time ago ( >2yrs ) I installed an external waste tank. As far as I can tell it is working. I note I get good  flow especially after nozzle checks. The printer has worked OK except for paper feeding issues. Since this printer is devoted to matt papers exclusively I am sure the malfunction is due to residue on the rollers, however I have not been able to clean them sufficiently to correct the problem. As a result I have resorted to using the manual feed. I am now getting the message that parts inside the printer are nearing the end of their service life. Does this mean that despite the external waste tank the internal waste pads are nearly saturated or could the message refer to other parts ( i. e. trouble with the roller mechanism )?
