Given the commentary that I've seen over the years regarding review results (notwithstanding people feeling their favourite camera has been slighted), there is a great deal of inconsistency when it comes to reviews. Examples such as what constitutes a failure/shortfall in one brand of camera in one review, isn't a considered failure/shortfall  in another brand of camera in another review.

But then I can't help but think that advertising revenue/pressure affects what comes out of a review. You can see this quite clearly in YouTube gear reviews where those who depend heavily on getting a steady stream of gear for reviews, only make the most minor of criticisms to appear balanced.
