Nikon Z6ii: Native vs Adapted Lenses?

I just recently got my first Nikon mirrorless camera, the Z6ii (never had the original Z)

My first experience with mirrorless was with Sony A7RIII but have previously been a Nikon shooter (D700,D810).

So my question is, what is the penalty when shooting F mount lenses with the FTZ adapter vs native Z mount lenses?

I've seen reviews on sharpness and the overall take is that Z mount lenses are generally sharper, but F mount lenses don't degrade much, if at all.

I'm asking more about total functionality, specifically auto focus, subject tracking, etc.

Should we expect AF/subject tracking to be "equal" when shooting F vs Z mount lenses?

And not even considering sport or BIF photography. Just general portrait and slower moving objects.

Thanks
