Lots of NR software is on sale today, Cyber Monday.

What is your favorite noise reduction software for high ISO noise with the R5 and why?

I'm currently getting the best results from LR (actually ACR) and PS but it takes some time to get it right using a subject layer with lower NR, masking and a background layer with higher NR. So, I'd love to streamline this.

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

I use Topaz Labs DeNoise AI, I also have all the other Topaz Labs still image apps, including Sharpen AI.

If you want an extra 15% off (I think this works on sale prices) you can try my Affiliate Link (for clarity - you should be aware if you use this, I will also get a small reward from Topaz).

A typical workflow (I sometimes vary things - it's image dependent) would be:

Import to Lightroom - adjust White Balance, Exposure, remove all sharpening, set noise reduction: luminance to 0; colour 25/ Detail 50/ smoothness 50, then apply lens profile and Remove Chromatic Abberation.

Send to Topaz DeNoise AI (as a Lightroom plug-in) or to Photoshop (apply Topaz as a Filter).

(Note: For Low Light/ High ISO images I find the Low Light mode generally works best).

After using in Topaz, or Photoshop/ Topaz, complete any other processing in Lightroom.

Depending on the image/ noise I sometimes then apply Sharpen AI (or use Sharpen AI directly instead of DeNoise AI if minimal NR is needed and sharpening/ stabilisation/ focus correction is needed).

Final LR Edit

I just purchased Perfectly Clear last night. I ran your final image through it and got this (at default settings)

It might be a bit over done but personally, I like it! Thoughts?
