Ginkgo biloba
3

Most of vegetation in the Bay Area consists of evergreens and conifers, so in the fall there are not many yellow, red and brown trees forming colorful patterns. That said, in the urban area one can find entire streets where trees changing color were planted on purpose.

One of those trees is ginkgo biloba, changing color from light green (summer) to dull yellow (fall).

Recently I was driving through the streets where the trees were growing, and I noticed that most of them is just in the phase of changing color. I had my camera with me, so I stopped and took a picture of the leaves in the low sun.

(The picture looks noisy, but it really isn't. The leaves are spotted. )

As for the tree, it's really nothing extraordinary. Just a tree.
