Ha vs full-spectrum modification?

Hello!

I have been considering getting a camera modified for astrophotography, but while at it, I feel like a full spectrum camera could be fun! The landscape results from cameras using a 590 or 560nm filter create vivid and unique colors that would be fun to play around with! So I am wondering if for astro, it is best to go with just an hydrogen alpha modification, or if full spectrum will work just as well. What filters should be used for a full spectrum camera, or do people shoot without any filters on theirs? If a Ha mod simply makes the camera sensitive to around 656nm, do I need a filter to cut off everything after that and UV? Is shooting with an un-filtered full spectrum camera harmful or dangerous for the sensor? Thank you for your time!
