Lens Caps?
1

So the big question is Lens Caps. Of course they are necessary. But feel they can be slightly dangerous to Camera Lenses. When removing and replacing a standard Lens cap, they often slide around a bit before seating. Also a risk of coming into contact with the Lens element. The backside of most Lens Caps are a hard, sharp edge plastic. So with that, a high possibility exists that you could scratch the lens. Why would someone spend $ possibly $1000's on lenses to put a jagged $2 piece of plastic cap on? Where is the quality? You would think that lens Caps would have some form of safety backing. Such as felt or rubber,to assure a scratch free application. how many used lenses sold have slight dings? Likely from rough cap handling. When will someone wake up and produce these? Lens investments deserve the peace of mind.
