how do i take longer exposures with a telescope?
1

I am still on the beginning stages of astrophotography and until now was only using a camera and lens. now i’m trying to use my celestron astromaster 130 reflector and am having trouble with how light my pictures are. with my camera lens i was able to do a couple minutes of exposure time to end up with subs that were good enough for my use but with the telescope even 30 seconds of exposure makes it too bright or washed with light pollution depending on the iso. i see people using 4 minute subs on iso 1600 and can’t manage 1 minute on iso 800. anyone know what i might be doing wrong?
