How much would you pay ...

You’ve just bought your new mirrorless camera. You are reviewing your photos on the LCD when an ad for an insurance company pops up and plays for 10 seconds. You may then resume playback.

You are totally OK with this, in fact you expected it. You bought the ad containing version of the camera at a substantial discount over the ad free version.

How much of a discount would it take to make you decide to take the ad containing version? If you could get an R5 for the price of a Z5 would you suffer through the ads?

This style of marketing is commonly used in apps. Advertisers seem to be willing to pay for a captive market.

Many people are inured to advertising, they just tune it out or divert their attention for a bit.

Given that we are all looking at little TV screens, how long can it be before we are looking at ads? What would it be worth to you to upgrade to the ad free version?

Canon EOS R5
