Sure....but...the market isn't always the arbiter of what it wants. A billion $ advertising industry works very successfully to convince the market of what it should want that it didn't want 5 minutes ago. Are you so sure "the market" wants IBIS and is pushing the manufactures to include this feature or is it the other way round ?

People are acting like you simply cannot make a camera without IBIS anymore. If you do, it will not sell. Yet, it simply does not work for many styles of photography.

"The Market" is nothing more than an abstract economic concept describing infrastructures where goods and services are exchanged. The market isn't an arbiter - it's merely an infrastructure that facilities the exchange.

To some extent advertising sets the outlines of how a company sees its offerings to the marketplace. Yes words do matter. The marketing of an item is how a company sees a appeal of a particular item and to which segment of the marketplace Fuji is addressing with a particular product. So with that in mind lets take a look at how Fuji views its line up.

XPro3: " PURE PHOTOGRAPHY

Something different is here. This camera turns anticipation into reality.
The texture of titanium stimulates your senses, while the unique viewfinder prompts discovery and creativity.
It brings back the desire to interact with the world through a camera,

while attaining an understanding to record it as your own for eternity. The X-Pro3 is the definition of pure photography."

X-E3: " Minimalism

The FUJIFILM X-E3, built from the essence of minimalism, has been refined to maximize functional performance to its utmost limit.
This camera was created in the pursuit of minimalism, striving to stimulate the senses of the person wielding it, aiming to draw out the true intent of the photographer.

The simple and beautiful appearance pursued by the X-E Series has been fused together with innovative functions and an incredibly compact and lightweight design.
The FUJIFILM X-E3 allows users to enjoy the ultimate level of photographic image quality that the X Series is known for while enjoying the way a camera is supposed to be.

X-T4: "Photography in Motion

Making a camera that is suitable for both photography and videography is no simple task. The X-T4 is our most powerful X Series camera to date with no compromises for stills or video. Using the 4th generation X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, X-Processor 4, a newly developed compact in-body image stabilization (IBIS) system, new Film Simulation mode “ETERNA Bleach Bypass” and various other features that have evolved based on user feedback, this camera delivers image quality that can satisfy the demands of professional photographers and videographers."

X-S10: "Your Style, Our Color

The world unfolds before the photographer’s eye.
There are moments of overwhelming beauty when your heart is moved without thinking.
When these emotions combine with Fujifilm’s color science, photographers can discover new possibilities.

A world only you can envision.
Stories only you can share.
Find your style and new motivation in breathtaking color.

FUJIFILM X-S10
A compact mirrorless camera body that’s packed with cutting-edge technologies to bring out your best as a photographer.
The portability and power of this camera will let you connect with your subjects like never before.

FUJIFILM X-S10 helps unleash your creativity to its fullest extent."

etc.

Every camera has a story on the Fujifilm website and that story tells you the segment Fuji is targeting with that product. Words matter and the camera was develop to that story for the purposes outlined in the story.

Clearly Fuji is targeting each camera series toward a segment of the marketplace. The camera marketplace is not homogeneous - it is very heterogeneous and diverse. In such a market place not one size fits all.

Fuji has done a good job, maybe better than most of targeting individual niches in the camera market place with the X system.  Not all Fuji cameras are the same although most have the same sensor/processor/AF ( or at least similar AF) which gives them some economy of scale they don't otherwise enjoy like Nikon/Canon/Sony.   Not all Fuji models are the same by design - they are designed with a specific type of user in mind.

That is one of the strong suits of Fuji.
