The lens comparison site backs up my original thought that the Canon is sharper.  The Canon appears to have more chromatic aberation, but that is pretty easy to fix these days.  The Canon will also have better build quality.

The next question is, why even bother replacing it with a tilt/shift since you don't use it anyway?

There will be lenses comparable in price to your current TS-E that will be better than either.  You could try selling the Canon privately around the $700 USD mark.
