Viltrox 85mm f1.8 II quirk

I received this lens yesterday and, in general, it seems quite nice; it's got a couple of quirks, though.

Quirk #1-

I've got a couple of Fuji lenses without aperture rings (18-55 & 55-200), and they both have a selector switch to go between automatic and manual aperture setting mode. The Viltrox has no switches of any kind, and I've only been able to use it in aperture priority mode. I'm using it on an X-H1, and I set the aperture via the front command dial.

This is not an enormous deal but, if the lens truly can't be used in an auto aperture mode, I'm surprised that fact hasn't been mentioned in the several reviews of this lens I watched before I made the purchase.

I'm hoping I'm just missing something, any ideas?
