Agree that other camera maker already moved on. But, I found that Fujiflm still stick to (less innovation) market segmentation for pricey premium camera.

Examples: dual card slot & WR is simple tech and low cost, but never apply to mid-range Fujiflm camera.

IMO dual card slot more important than HDMI slot in camera. If space issue, replace HDMI with dual card slot.

I feel compelled to point out that Fuji were the first manufacturer to put dual card slots in a mirrorless camera (the X-Pro2 in 2016) - something that the likes of Canon and Nikon only caught up with this year.

You may quibble over whether features like this should be included in the mid range, but using this as an example of “less innovation” by Fuji is misplaced.

IMO new camera selling point :

  1. Has some new innovation (better AF algorithm/processor/sensor/IBIS/body) when compared with other model(s) under same company
  2. It is needed as selling point so that consumer will paid higher price (compare to existing camera in grey market).
  3. Sometimes, far more small/lightweight body (but same specs) can be a selling point(s). E.g. Sony A7C. Few grams saving should not in count.

Most important are selling point for asked camera price. If X-E4 has same specs and price as grey market X-T30. Then, the selling point is RF body.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II is a example of market segmentation without innovation.
