Why are these files lower resolution?

The other night I was taking pictures of the moon with a 1600mm equivalent lens. I finally sat down with them and all set to pixel peep when I realized something was off with the resolution.

I have looked at the EXIF data in SPP and it says the resolution is 6192 X 4128 for the top layer. (The camera is a SDQH.) This is like other pictures I have taken.

But when I zoom in to 100%, it is clear the resolution on this image is not the same as other images.

I tried exporting to a jpeg and opening in another program. The other program reports a resolution as 2064 X 1376. The EXIF data as reported by this other program agrees with this.

I thought maybe I had the resolution set wrong in the camera. The EXIF data in SPP for the picture reports Hi. My camera is still set to Hi from the shot the other night.

What happened?
