How good or bad is Sony 10-18?
Re: How good or bad is Sony 10-18?
What would make me extremely happy is an upgraded version of this lens along and the rumor I read about a 42 megapixel APS-C sensor being true. Probably not going to happen before my trip so the a7r4 and 24-105 will have to do for now! The a6600 + 10-18 will be much smaller then my current a7r3 + 16-35 4.0 combo for my second camera.
I was considering switching to Fuji but there really is not a great size and weight savings comparing xt4 + Fuji 16-55 2.8 to a7r4 and 24-105. As far as print size most of what I have read makes me think 24 megapixels can be ok for even very large canvas print. I did see a video my Tony and Chelsea Northrup that made me think I still want the 61 megapixels of the a7r4 for those few large prints i may want to have.
If I want the highest quality for a large print from ultra wide I can always stich photos together using the 24-105 and a7r4. I am thinking for everything else the a6600 and 10-18 will be just fine.
