Birding with Z6 at f/1.8
I think it's a cool shot. Often in birding we are very focused on 500+mm lenses, but wider views are often quite nice and provide a nice change in perspective.
Perhaps the long FL shots are so ubiquitous now that anything with a bit of environment makes for a relative unique shot. In movies/cinematography, typically there is an “establishing shot” for context and then closeups. In stills, there are hardly any establishing shots, just extreme detailed shots.
There might be a bit of sour grapes on my part because I don’t have a long FL lens than 200mm.
