Remaining life of the pack is impossible to determine. Just as humans have a life expectancy of around 70-80 years, some pass much too soon, and others live another 40 years.

Lithium batteries have a battery control circuit to disable charging and discharging if a fault is detected. A fault can develop at any time, or there may be one that is marginally below threshold, that can then evolve into an issue.

To determine what capacity is currently available, you can run a known continuous load and see how long it takes for the battery to become fully discharged, and run some math.

LiFePO batteries can also reduce run time if left unused. This capacity can be stretched back to normal or near normal capacities by several charge/discharge cycles.
