I totally agree. Winter-time indoor shooting requires f1.4 - f1.8 prime lenses in my opinion. I was planning to buy the Sony 16-55 for next summer but the new Tammy 17-70 is a nice addition.

And I've seen deals in the second-hand or grey market at 700-800 EUR for the Sony, so at launch the price for the Tamron will be roughly the same. Tough choice. Sharpness and IBIS will be the deal-breaker.
