ISO and exposure

ISO and exposure

Because previous thread reached 150 messages and self-closed, I'm not continuing the discussion, but I found a very peculiar white paper from Canon.

It's interesting on its own, but the most peculiar part (for this forum gurus) is at the very end:

"In real world shooting, in twilight at an exposure setting of ISO 6400 the camera produces an impressive deep exposure latitude and very acceptable noise level."

I'm speechless. Anyone cares to decipher? ISO is an exposure setting?
