I want IBIS, I want an updated Fuji X-E3 (but)

  • given the SIZE restrain of the E3 body
  • given that Tiny Size = the appeal of the E3 range finder
  • I don't realistically, think we'll get an IBIS.
  • I hope I'm wrong, but its already looking like a very TIGHT squeeze

Even @the reduce IBIS unit size of X-S10 is quite THICK. cramping that into a tiny E3 body maybe asking for trouble. An undesirable compromised must be make:

  • Either by Making the X-E4 SIZE BIGGER & THICKER
  • thus reduce the appeal of E series (why buy one if its THICK?)
  • or take out the IBIS and remain small.
  • Choose your Poison

Another problem is HEAT! Cramping a constantly moving IBIS unit into a tight cramp space will generate a lot of heat. It'll even limit the 1080p video ability, 4K maybe in the range of 10~15min as well. Just a thought to consider.

Lastly, @what price are you willing to pay for E4?

  • are you willing to pay the same $999?
  • because cramping an IBIS will add cost, & price it similar to X-S10!

I don't think that placing IBIS into a small body is asking for trouble. Yes, it makes everything more challenging, but not impossible to overcome, it's all about technology and engineering. My previous camera was GX80, it's pretty small, yet it has IBIS and I had zero problems with heating (4k video) and stuff. It's up to Fuji engineers, there's a lot of space for improvement they can implement in every next generation of their IBIS
