Wildlife from the wetlands

Here are a few shots taken yesterday from Green Cay and Wakodahatchee wetlands. I met up with Justin who loaned me his a6300 since I don't have mine right now, long story.

I thought it was set to both JPEG & RAW, but it was JPEG only. I did not have all my setting configured, could not process RAW files as usual, but here are the few I decided to keep and share. I would have had a few more keepers if I did not inadvertently turned off stabilization for about 40-50 pictures on my 70-300G. I might have noticed that if I configured DMF with magnification, (not set up either), which I normally shoot 90% of the time.

Anyway, here they are, not all that great but I tried to include as much variety as I could.

I'll start out first with the most colorful bird, a purple swamp hen.

A grebe, they were all over the place.

Just a coot, but I liked the background.

A rred-shouldered hawk, I think.

A tri-color heron

A whistling duck, I think.

Not sure what this is, but it seemed to want to pose for me.

And finally, a male grackle making as much noise as it could.

Comment and questions always welcome.
