I am a very healthy, still reasonably strong 68 but the bag gets heavier every year. I know a couple of top pros that would never have considered using anything other than big glass that are using the zooms more often as they age.

It sometimes just comes down to not wanting lug around a lot of gear and focus on enjoying the moment for me. That doesn't mean I don't want to capture good images.
