Also on safaris you are on vehicle so not to much to cary around. I would always bring longest fastest lens I have to safari.

Beautiful shots.  Love the lens and feel it is the most versatile wildlife lens on the planet but got tired of the weight.  I will buy back in if they do an RF version with the big white weight reduction program to the 6lb range ( like EF III’s).  I sold my 200-400, but can always rent.
