Because it's a camera I've wanted to try for a while. Just realized what I didn't like about the Ovf, though its enjoyable to look through. Was wondering what I might be missing about the camera, and there's been some great points about it.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to try different cameras and lenses if you buy used. Not to mention, if you also have an ILC then you can enjoy the X100 for what it excels at.

For example, I switched from an X-Pro2 only to an X100V with the intention of getting a used X-T2 or X-T3 for different lenses. I might even get an X-H1 instead of the X-T2 because I no longer have to worry about ultimate compactness in my ILC.
