Macro Camera Advice

Hello to everyone

I am looking for some general advise on Macro Photography.  A brief intro: I am a Commercial Photographer and use Nikon D5's however always enjoyed macro photography in years past and now want to spend a little more spare time taking up this subject again.  A D5 as good as it is, is not a camera suitable (far to large and cumbersome)  I also have an 810 and a couple of 800's but want something that is easier to use as in maybe a little smaller, definitely an articulating screen.  What would be a recommendation and lens options that will give me a 1:1 ratio.  I am airing towards either the D500 or D780!!  what other options, makes are worth considering. Would like to keep the body cost below £2k if possible. Lenses happy to work with manual but somewhere along the way some VR would be good either in camera or lens.

Be good to hear what others use, thanks in advance
