Z 6II / Z 7II Heatsinks
2

We know the Z 6II body is ever so slightly thicker behind the LCD.

They say that's to fit the extra processor and SD card hardware.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if another reason (or a primary reason) was extra heatsinking for the coming 2160p 60fps video. As we know, internal processing and recording of 2160p video, especially pushing 60fps, can cook a camera.

This is purely speculation, but it stands to reason because the two major barriers to this kind of performance are 1) processing power and 2) thermals. Therefore, add a 2nd processor and enhance the thermal dissipation and you've enabled 2160p 60fps video.

If anyone finds information on any thermal design changes that occurred with the new bodies, post it here. For example, teardown photos or video would be useful.
